Overview

This 10-day safari package is a journey through Tanzania’s most iconic parks and wildlife reserves. Starting in the lush landscapes of Tarangire, known for its elephant herds, the adventure continues to the Mara River, where the Great Migration unfolds before your eyes. From there, you'll explore the endless plains of Serengeti, home to the Big Five and exceptional predator action. Ngorongoro Crater offers a haven for wildlife, while Lake Eyasi offers a rich cultural experience with the Hadzabe and Datoga tribes. Finally, Lake Manyara provides birdwatching opportunities and stunning scenery before returning to Arusha.

Tour Plan

Day 1: Arusha to Tarangire National Park
Depart from Arusha and drive to Tarangire National Park, known for its large elephant herds and stunning baobab trees. Enjoy an afternoon game drive and marvel at the diversity of wildlife, including zebras, giraffes, and lions. Overnight at a lodge or camp near Tarangire.

Day 2: Tarangire to Mara River
After breakfast, drive to the Mara River region. This area is famous for its dramatic river crossings during the Great Migration. Depending on the season, you may witness the awe-inspiring migration of wildebeest and zebras as they cross the Mara River in search of greener pastures. Stay near the Mara River for a unique safari experience.

Day 3: Mara River (Great Migration)
Spend the day exploring the Mara River area, where you’ll have the chance to witness the thrilling migration crossings of wildebeest and zebras, often pursued by predators such as crocodiles and lions. The Mara River is one of the most dramatic spots during the migration. Overnight near the river.

Day 4: Mara River to Serengeti National Park
Drive to Serengeti National Park, world-renowned for its vast plains and abundant wildlife. Enjoy an afternoon game drive, spotting lions, leopards, elephants, and more. Depending on the season, you may still be able to catch a glimpse of the Great Migration before heading to your lodge or tented camp for the night.

Day 5: Serengeti National Park
Spend the day in Serengeti with morning and afternoon game drives. Explore various regions of the park to spot predators, herbivores, and the remarkable birdlife. Enjoy a relaxing evening at your lodge or tented camp.

Day 6: Serengeti to Ngorongoro Crater
Drive from Serengeti to Ngorongoro Crater, a UNESCO World Heritage site. Descend into the crater for a full-day game drive, encountering the Big Five, including lions, elephants, and rhinos. After a picnic lunch, continue exploring the crater’s diverse ecosystem before heading to your accommodation near the crater.

Day 7: Ngorongoro Crater to Lake Eyasi
After breakfast, depart for Lake Eyasi, known for its cultural experiences with the Hadzabe and Datoga tribes. Experience a traditional hunting excursion with the Hadzabe people and learn about the blacksmithing skills of the Datoga tribe. Overnight at Lake Eyasi, enjoying the serenity of the area.

Day 8: Lake Eyasi to Lake Manyara National Park
Drive to Lake Manyara National Park, famous for its tree-climbing lions and vibrant birdlife. Enjoy a game drive through the park, taking in the diverse ecosystems from the lakeshore to the acacia woodlands. Spot flamingos, elephants, giraffes, and a variety of other wildlife. Overnight near Lake Manyara.

Day 9: Lake Manyara to Arusha
After a morning game drive, depart for Arusha, where you will enjoy a relaxing afternoon. You may choose to visit a local market or rest before your journey back home. Overnight in Arusha or at your airport hotel, depending on your departure time.

Day 10: Departure
