Tour Plan

Day 1: Arusha to Tarangire National Park

  • Morning: Depart early from Arusha and drive to Tarangire National Park (2–3 hours).
  • Late Morning to Afternoon: Enjoy a half-day game drive in Tarangire, famous for its large elephant herds, baobab trees, and diverse wildlife, including giraffes, zebras, and antelopes.
  • Lunch: Picnic lunch at a scenic spot within the park.
  • Evening: Check into a lodge or campsite near Tarangire.

Day 2: Tarangire to Ngorongoro Crater

  • Early Morning: Depart from Tarangire and drive to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area (approximately 2 hours).
  • Mid-Morning to Afternoon: Descend into the Ngorongoro Crater for a full day of game viewing. Spot lions, elephants, rhinos, hippos, and numerous bird species in this diverse ecosystem.
  • Lunch: Picnic lunch by a scenic spot, such as the hippo pool.
  • Afternoon: Continue exploring the crater, then ascend back to the crater rim in the late afternoon.
